A community of inspiration, growth, and change.
What began as a mission to support residents of a refugee shelter in Warsaw grew into a multifaceted international initiative.
We delivered humanitarian aid, educational tools for crisis situations, and innovative guidance directly to Ukrainian communities in need. Our work also took us to Japan, Korea, and the United States, where we shared our experience and collaborated on humanitarian efforts.
Although we are a young organization, our innovative approach has touched the lives of tens of thousands of people.
Provide emergency assistance, responding to communities’ real needs and empowering beneficiaries.
Use innovative solutions, to provide stability and work with communities toward lasting, developmental change.
Build a network of collaboration with NGOs, partners, and clients to optimize responses to humanitarian crises.
The HIG team co-created and ran the Modlińska Humanitarian Aid Center in Warsaw—one of the largest in all of Europe. In 2023, our team operated at this shelter as an independent NGO, supporting residents with employment, housing, advocacy, education, entrepreneurship, and many other areas.
In 2023, HIG launched the Innovation Learning Lab, aiming to provide modern educational tools, training, and renovated bomb shelters for Ukrainian communities affected by the crisis. The first “Learning Labs” were established in Ternopil, and the organization built lasting partnerships with the ministries of Science and Education, and Family, Youth and Sports.
HIG launched a year-long pilot program offering refugees from Ukraine temporary asylum and employment in Saga City, Japan! Through career training with advancement opportunities, language courses, and savings programs, Ukrainians are gaining the skills and stability to rebuild their lives.
HIG presented humanitarian aid solutions and collaborated with partners in South Korea and across the United States.
