Situated at 2 Foksal Street, in one of Warsaw’s most distinguished neighbourhoods, the Konstanty Zamoyski Palace is a remarkable historic residence with more than 150 years of history. Its remarkable architecture, aristocratic heritage and prestigious location make it one of the capital’s most recognisable urban palaces.
Built between 1875 and 1877 for Konstanty Zamoyski, the palace was designed by the distinguished architect Leandro Marconi. Its French Neo-Renaissance style is complemented by classical elements. Conceived as an urban residence for the Zamoyski family, it also reflected their social standing and artistic ambitions.
The richly ornamented façade, inner courtyard and elegant interiors created a setting for social gatherings, concerts and cultural salons.
The palace was severely damaged during the Second World War. After the war, it underwent conservation and partial reconstruction. Many of its historic features were preserved or restored with careful attention to detail.
